Barbara Ferullo

You didn’t “choose” to be unhappy. It probably started with something you couldn’t control, and now you’re still trying to cope with it the best way you can. It can help to talk with someone. My style is conversational, natural, and relaxed. I try to put things in a way that resonates with you, so you can start to connect the dots.
I’m usually described as warm, reassuring, down to earth, and having a calming voice. I have a natural give and take conversational style, so people comment that they don’t feel “talked down to.” I also have a knack for being able to put things in a way that the person can relate to, which resonates with them.
We often talk about the past, in part to find the root of the problem. Most people prefer this, saying they never had the opportunity to so before. Sometimes it’s not necessary or someone prefers not to. Research shows it’s not necessary in order to lead a satisfying life and primarily, we focus on the present.

Easy, back-and-forth conversational exchanges. I’m trained in psychodynamic (traditional, Freudian) and trauma modalities. Relaxation, mindfulness, reality and strategizing techniques help you relax, take a step back, and get some control over your life. These techniques can help you be less stressed-out and fearful.

You can discover the root causes of your difficulties and develop deeper understanding of them, while you develop new ways to handle them at the same time. This remains with you for the rest of your life. It can be “the gift that keeps on giving”. Give yourself that gift.

Services Provided

I do individual adult therapy and use psychodynamic (traditional/Freudian – the same type as what you see on TV and in the movies), psychoeducational and reality approaches, strategic planning, grounding techniques, relaxation techniques such as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), visualization, and holistic approaches such as meditation.

Areas of Expertise

I treat adults with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and trauma, including work-life balance, life transitions, changing jobs, aging, divorce, stress management, panic attacks, poor self-esteem, and difficulty being self-assertive.

Jessica Kolczewski, Psychiatric Nurse, MSN, APRN

Are you looking for someone who can both prescribe medications and be present and listen to your experience?
I value the importance of combining therapeutic techniques with medication management. For ten years as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I have treated a variety of patients suffering from trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, borderline personality disorder and suicidal or self injurious behaviors. On a part time basis, I have a “co-therapist” named Bella. She is trained as a therapy dog for the purpose of providing animal assisted therapy.
I am passionate about the healing effects of dog assisted therapy. If you are a parent seeking treatment for a child who may be apprehensive about therapy, or an animal lover who feels at ease in the presence of animals, sessions with Bella may be a helpful option. I completed the Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) foundational training in 2014 and incorporate DBT concepts into my work. If my descriptions feels like a good fit, please contact me at the number or email provided here.

Martha Pedersen, Counselor, LMHC

I specialize in working with clients who suffer from anxiety and depression, work-life balance issues, relationship issues, and issues around self-confidence and “presence” at home and at work. Particular groups I enjoy working with and have experience with include college and graduate students, those suffering from the loss of a significant relationship, those working in the design field, and the LGBTQ community.

I love helping my clients improve their lives through insight-oriented conversation and behavioral change. I believe in helping clients become “experts” on themselves and their values, assisting them in developing coping skills and perspective so that they can lead lives that feel more relaxed, productive, and enjoyable.

One type of therapy I use with most of my clients is EMDR, which is a way of helping clients re-process the difficult things that have happened to them in the past so that they can see them in a new light and move forward with a healthier perspective on themselves and their strengths.

Since a good therapist/client connection is of primary importance, I prefer to have a twenty minute phone consultation with potential clients to be sure we are a good fit. My style is eclectic, conversational, and supportive, and I am willing and able to offer “homework” where appropriate.

Services Provided

I work using the following treatment modalities with individual adults:

  • EMDR
  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive therapy behavior (CBT)

Olga Privina, CCH, CH

I am a holistic practitioner providing professional life-enhancing services. I specialize in custom herbal formulations for a variety of health issues, and in stress management using herbal remedies and meditative/hypnosis practices. I provide both a journey into the green world, and a journey into the self.

Throughout my life, I have been studying and collecting experiences in a variety of fields relating to health and wellness: in an effort to achieve and maintain optimal health and well-being. It is during these studies I discovered my biggest passion – helping others.

Coming from a cultural background where folk medicine is highly respected, I enjoy combining traditional health approaches of different cultures with modern approaches: including science, intuition, and spirituality.

I am a Certified Clinical Herbalist, Certified Consulting Hypnotist, and Community Health Worker with a diploma in Public Health and Preventive Medicine. I am a member of the American Guild of Herbalists and the National Guild of Hypnotists. With my comprehensive knowledge and strong intuition, I can be of great assistance on your path of healing.

Ellis Weaver LMHC

I received a dual bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy and Studio Art with a minor in Psychology from Springfield College and a dual master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Art Therapy from Lesley University. During my academic career, I was given opportunities to complete five very different internships. Prior to entering Private Practice, I worked within a multitude of settings, with varying populations, including acute inpatient psychiatry, in-home therapy and an eating disorder focused partial hospitalization program. I took a brief hiatus from the clinical world and lived in Southeast Asia for over a year, where I gained Eastern perspectives to healing.  Additionally, I completed my Level 1 certification for EMDR and offer trauma focused treatment.

My therapeutic structure is solely based on individual needs. I strive to provide and teach skills to help strengthen client’s self-awareness, confidence and overall feelings of stability.
